Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)

The subclass 491 visa is a temporary, points-based visa that assists rural Australia in gaining access to the people and skills it requires to grow and thrive. You may travel to and from Australia on many occasions, and after three years from the day the visa was issued, you may apply for permanent residency. We will determine your eligibility based on factors such as your age, education, work experience (you may receive additional points for Australian education and experience), and English language skills. As recognised English language examinations, the Department of Immigration recognises IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, and CAE. You can also gain an extra point for your spouse's talents and English language. If you receive an invitation, you may earn an additional 15 points.

Australian Capital Territory (Canberra)

 

Canberra is located near the northernmost tip of Australia's tallest mountain range, the Australian Alps, which form part of the Australian Capital Territory.To fulfil the qualifying requirements, you must complete the Canberra matrix. There is a separate matrix for Canberra and international candidates. Your English test and Skill Assessment must still be valid while submitting the Canberra Matrix and nominating the ACT. You have lived in Canberra for at least three months as of the day the Canberra Matrix was submitted and until the date of the invitation. The ACT financial activity for this period must be reflected in your bank statements and transaction history. Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra, and Googong are just a handful of the NSW towns where you might dwell.

You worked in Canberra for at least 13 weeks. You can choose to work for various companies, work for yourself, or manage a small business. You make at least $520 per week in total (taxable) income as a self-employed person. Small company owners must sign a statutory declaration attesting to the characteristics of their business operation, including their ABN, how many workers they have, where their ACT business is situated, when it first began running, and their annual income. 491 is always subclassed. Matrix contributions will be prioritised. If you have your 190 matrix, you may apply for ACT nomination.



New South Wales (Sydney)

 

Sydney, the most populated city in Australia, serves as the state capital of New South Wales. To meet the eligibility criteria for 491 visa, there are two ways to get NSW nomination which are pathway 1 and pathway 2. In pathway 1, we will help you to submit the application directly to a Regional Development Australia office. Further two streams are divided into pathway 1 which are track record of employment with a regional NSW employer such as you must be paid a minimum of the $53,900 TSMIT wage level in your designated occupation from your qualified employer and Regional New South Wales needs the skills for instance you must be an ANZSCO unit group that is listed on the Stream B skills list. In pathway 2, you can receive an application invitation from NSW. You must have lived continuously in NSW or offshore for at least three months in order to qualify and must have submitted an EOI through SkillSelect in order to be nominated for the NSW-specific Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491) alone.

 

Northern Territory (Darwin)

The northern territory is a part of Australia that is located in its centre and central northern regions. To meet the eligibility criteria for subclass 491 visa, This is a temporary visa that entitles you and your dependents to five years of residence, employment, and education in a regional area. after three years of employment at the minimum yearly wage of A$53,900.00. You must have studied there for at least two years or lived and worked there full-time in your occupation (the selected occupation must be on the NT nominated occupation list) for at least six months before applying in order to be nominated by the Territory. We will assess your eligibility based on the points and the age must be under 45. You need to get a minimum 65 points to apply for a 491 visa and  must obtain an acceptable Skills Assessment for your chosen profession. This visa is also available for offshore applicants. The offshore candidates  are required to have been employed in their chosen field for at least one year in the two years prior to application.

 

Queensland (Brisbane) 

The second-largest and third-most populous state in Australia is Queensland. This visa provides selected skilled professionals with the opportunity to live and work in regional Queensland for a period of five years while opening the way towards permanent residency. We will assess your eligibility based on the points for Age, Education, Work experience, and English language proficiency. The Department of Immigration accepts IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, CAE as approved English language tests.The minimum score you need is 65 points and the age must be under 45. You need to proof of a skills assessment for your career of choice. Through Skill assessment, you must submit an expression of interest (EOI). According to the assertions you make in your EOI, you will receive points.  Make sure you can prove that, in the three months preceding to submitting your EOI, you were working full-time post-qualification (minimum of 35 hours per week) in your nominated occupation in regional Queensland. After getting Invitation, you need to apply for a state nomination. For the 491 visa to be granted, you must agree to spend the next three years residing and working in Queensland. 

 

South Australia (Adelaide) 

South Australia is a state in the southern central region of Australia. It is the second-smallest state in terms of people and the fourth-largest state and territory in terms of area. In regards to the 491 visa, you can stay for up to five years, you may live and work in South Australia with this state-nominated provisional visa for skilled immigrants. While the visa is in effect, you may travel to and from Australia as often as you like while living, working, and studying in a certain regional area of Australia. After 3 years receiving your visa, you can apply for permanent residency.

Tasmania is an Australian island state. The state includes the surrounding 1,000 islands in addition to Tasmania's main island, which is the 26th largest island in the world. For a period of up to five years, you may live and work in Tasmania with the help of the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491). You can receive 15 extra points nominated by Tasmania for this visa. You need to get a minimum 65 points for 491 visas. If you are selected for this visa by the Tasmanian government, you must remain in Tasmania for at least two years after the visa is issued.

Australia's south-east is home to the state of Victoria. It is the most densely inhabited state in Australia, as well as the second-smallest and second-most populous.To meet the eligibility criteria for 491 visa, you must currently reside in Victoria, either in metropolitan or rural Victoria.  In your Registration of Interest(ROI), you may include your annual wages if you work in skilled employment in either regional or urban Victoria. You may still submit a nomination application even if you are unemployed or only have low-skilled employment. The minimum score you need is 65 points and the age must be under 45. You need to proof of a skills assessment for your career of choice. Through Skill assessment, you must submit an expression of interest (EOI).You will submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) for Victorian nomination using the EOI number you obtained from SkillSelect. You can  submit a nomination application if you are chosen for an invitation.If your nomination application is approved, you will file a visa application with the Australian Government's Department of Home Affairs for the chosen visa.

 

Western Australia (Perth) 

 

The state of Western Australia in Australia has Perth as its capital and largest city. With 2.1 million people expected to live in Greater Perth by 2020, it will rank fourth among all cities in Australia and Oceania in terms of population. To meet the eligibility 491 criteria, this  visa permits you to live, work, and study in a certain regional area of Australia for five years. Right now, the entire state of Western Australia is a regional area. You must be sponsored by a qualifying relative in order to be eligible, or you must be nominated by an eligible Australian State or Territory, such as Western Australia.The minimum score you need is 65 points and the age must be under 45 years.The skilled work regional provisional visa subclass 491 which provides you an extra 15 points. You need to lodge the first Expression of Interest( EOI). There are two streams which are general and graduate streams. The general stream is further divided into two streams which are Schedule 1 and schedule 2. If you are qualified for the targeted visa subclass and have a job opening listed on the WA Skilled Migration Occupation List (WASMOL) schedule 1 and schedule 2, you can apply. For the graduate stream, you are eligible for this visa if you have Certificate III or higher-level credential in Western Australia.
