A temporary work visa for Australia is available under the Temporary Work (foreign Relations) Visa Subclass 403 under certain conditions that advance Australia's foreign relations. 

There are the 5 streams available for this visa.

• The Government Agreement Stream,
• Foreign Government Agency Stream, 
• Domestic Worker Stream, 
• Privileges & Immunity Stream, 
• and Pacific Labour Scheme Stream.

1) The Government Agreement Stream

This visa stream enables an individual to work in Australia in accordance with the terms and conditions of a bilateral agreement between the governments of Australia and another nation. You may stay for up to two years from the time we mention in your visa approval notice.

Eligibility Criteria:

You must be working or being involved in accordance with a bilateral agreement between Australia and another nation.

• Australia allows you to stay for up to two years.
• The visa can be obtained inside or outside of Australia.
• The health requirements must be met.
• Meet the standards for character.
• You must have sufficient health insurance.
• You must meet the requirements for a legitimate temporary stay.
• possess no unpaid obligations to the Australian government.

The processing time for this visa will be approximately 27 days.

2) Foreign Government Agency Stream

You may visit Australia for particular purposes with the help of this visa stream. As a language instructor or a representative of a foreign government agency, you could work in Australia for a foreign government. You may remain for as long as we stipulate in your visa grant notification, which might be up to 4 years.

Eligibility criteria

• The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) will not grant you official status in Australia if you are a representative of a foreign government.
• An overseas government may hire you to teach their language in an Australian school.
• You can apply for the visa both inside and outside of Australia, but not through immigration clearance.
• You must own a letter of support from the international organisation, ministry, or branch of the foreign government. A letter of endorsement from an Australian school or tertiary authority is also required if you are a foreign language instructor.

• You must meet the standards for character.
• Obtain the necessary health insurance.
• You should meet the requirements for a legitimate temporary stay.

3) Domestic Workers (Diplomatic or Consular) Stream

The Diplomatic (Temporary) visa (subclass 995) allows individuals who are 18 years of age or older to temporarily work full-time as domestic helpers in Australia. The typical duration of your first visa is up to 12 months.Typically, a second visa is valid for the duration of your employer's posting in Australia.You may stay as long as we indicate in your notification of visa approval. You are free to apply from inside or outside of Australia and make as many trips there as you like.

Eligibility Criteria

• You are permitted to perform full-time domestic work in the home of a visa holder with a diplomatic (temporary) visa (subclass 995).
• For the duration that your employer is assigned to Australia, you are permitted to work there in accordance with Australian employment laws.
• The first time you apply, you must be outside of Australia.
• be at least 18 years old.
• You must have the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's backing.
• Have a contract for employment that complies with Australian workplace regulations.
• Be able to support oneself financially.
• You must meet the necessary health criteria.
• You must meet the standards for character.
• Obtain the necessary health insurance.
• Not owe the Australian government any unpaid bills.

The processing time for this visa will be approximately 30 months.

4) Privileges and Immunities Stream

You can enter Australia using the Privileges and Immunity Stream of the Temporary Work (International Relations) Visa Subclass 403 visa if you now hold, or anticipate holding, certain privileges and immunities under applicable law. While working as an international representative, you are permitted to remain in Australia on this visa. You can stay in Australia for the number of days listed in the letter the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade sent you, and applying for the visa is free. 

Eligibility Criteria

• You must have a letter of support from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
• You must be able to sustain your dependents.
• Work for the company you were given permission to work for in the position described in your visa application that has the privileges and immunities listed under the applicable legislation.
• You must already be in possession of a Domestic Worker (Diplomatic or Consular Stream) Temporary Work (International Relations) visa (subclass 403) if you are applying from Australia.
• You must meet the necessary health criteria.
• You must meet the standards for character.
• Obtain the necessary health insurance.

The processing time for this visa will be approximately 4 months.

5) Pacific Australia Labour Mobility Stream

You are permitted to enter Australia temporarily for a period of up to three years in order to work in activities for a Temporary Activities Approved Sponsor in Rural and Regional Australia under the Pacific Labour Scheme Stream of the Temporary Work (International Relations) Visa Subclass 403 visa.

Eligibility Criteria

• You must be a resident OF AND a citizen OF Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, or Vanuatu.
• You must range in age from 21 to 45.
• Have a Temporary Activities Sponsor who has been approved.
• Meet the character standards.
• satisfy the insurance requirements.
• Authentic temporary stay requirements must be met.
• You must have no unpaid obligations to the Australian government
• Obtain the necessary level of health.
