This visa allows young individuals to visit Australia for an extended holiday and work in the country to afford it. Consists of First, Second and Third Work and Holiday Visas.
A second Work and Holiday visa may be granted to those applicants who completed three months of specified work in listed regional areas of Australia while holding their first Work and Holiday visa. From 1 July 2019, a third Work and Holiday visa may be granted where the visa holder meets additional specified work requirements.

You must:

be outside of Australia when you apply for your first Work and Holiday Visa

aged between 18 and 30 years old at the time of application

hold a passport for one of the countries or regions listed below

Not be accompanied by any dependent children

have completed 3 months of specified subclass 462 work on your first Work and Holiday visa
Requirements for Third work and holiday visa
From 1 July 2019, to be eligible for a third Work and Holiday visa, you must:

have previously held 2 subclass 462 visas (first and second) in Australia. If you haven’t, see the first Work and Holiday visa or second Work and Holiday visa

have undertaken, from 1 July 2019, 6 months of specified subclass 462 work while on your second subclass 462 visa, or a bridging visa in certain circumstances

on or after 1 July 2019, have completed six calendar months of specified work in regional Australia while on your second Work and Holiday visa

Provide biometrics
You may be asked to provide biometrics (a scientific form of identification) as part of the application. Countries and visa subclasses included in the biometrics program will contain additional information.
Health insurance
The visa recipient is responsible for all their health costs while you are in Australia. They will not be covered by Australia’s national health scheme (Medicare) unless their country has a reciprocal health care agreement with Australia.
