Carer Visa Subclass 836
The Carer Visa (Subclass 836) is a long-term visa that enables you to stay and apply from within Australia to look after a person who has a chronic medical condition. It must be impossible for them to obtain appropriate care in Australia. If you reside Inside of Australia, you must apply for the Carer Visa (Subclass 836) immediately.
The sponsored family member who resides with the carer must be able and willing to accept substantial care from them on a continuous basis. The Carer Visa (Subclass 836) holder must be able to show that they are aware of the sponsor's medical condition and specific requirements.

The processing time for this visa will be approximately 7 years.
Eligibility
You must meet the following requirements to qualify for the Carer Visa (Subclass 836):
- You must be sponsored by a sponsor who qualifies, and the Australian .
- Government must approve of such sponsorship.
- The required health requirements must be met by you and any eligible members of your family.
- Not owe any money to the Australian government.
- The Australian Values Statement should be signed.
- If you're a minor under 18, you must prove that it's for your own good.
