Global Talent visa (Subclass 858)

Global Talent Visa supersedes the Distinguished Talent Visa – the Distinguished Talent visa became the Global Talent visa.

  • There are now 2 pathways: The Global Talent Pathway and the Distinguished Talent Pathway

  • The Distinguished Talent Pathway brings the visa back to its former role of offering pathways to sports, arts, academia, and research people.

  • A Global Business and Talent Attraction Taskforce was established to attract high-value businesses and exceptionally talented individuals to Australia, along with their ideas, networks, and capital.

  • To apply for the Global Talent pathway, you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and have received an invitation to apply. An invitation is not required to apply for the Distinguished Talent pathway.
